Research Activities in the Space-DREAM Project

For the Doshisha Space-DREAM project, we are making effective use of the experimental techniques, e.g., behavior analysis of rats, multineuronal recording from behaving rats, and brain-machine interfaces that can operate brain-body functional connections, being used in the various studies in our lab. The objective is to elucidate the interaction between skeletal muscles and brain activities. The main question is how declined or enhanced skeletal muscles affect the functions of the cerebral cortex and basal ganglia.
